From The

Collections of Waikiki welcomes Aloha Beach Services at the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa.

Aloha Beach Services carries branded merchandise, such as t-shirts, hats, surfwear, and skateboards. They will also have Papale Niu, or handmade woven coconut palm frond hats, made by the current Waikiki Beach Boys. Additionally, memorabilia will be on display, featuring Hawaiian cultural pieces, local items, and historical artifacts of Waikiki.

As the brand’s first venture into the brick-and-mortar business, Aloha Beach Services is working to spread awareness regarding the vibrant culture and rich heritage of their brand. They will still be offering their surf and stand-up paddle lessons, beach and ocean activity rentals, and canoe rides from this new location.

Aloha Beach Services is a family-owned business that opened in 1959. The founder, Harry S. Robello, grew up on Waikiki Beach, and was a first generation Waikiki Beach Boy. The brand is currently owned and operated by Harri ‘Didi’ Robello, the founder’s son and a second generation Beach Boy. Didi is also a third generation Kahanamoku, and the grand-nephew of the legendary Duke Kahanamoku.

As he likes to say, this pop-up concept is the next generation iteration of its brand: “Face the future with hope, honor the past with reverence, and package it all with a laid-back and positive vibe unique to Hawaii and Aloha Beach Services.” Didi also adds that “Waikiki is all we know. It’s our life, our heritage, and our family. We want to share what’s come and gone, and what’s ahead. Waikiki is our home, and we love it!”

Aloha Beach Services is best known for access to surfing lessons, surfing rentals, Hawaiian outrigger canoe rides, rental and charter outrigger canoe services, and special events for weddings, birthdays, and convention group rentals. The family is passionate about sharing the splendor of Hawaii with all guests and visitors.
